Description:

The work of rescue service and fire brigades is characterised by lifting and carrying heavy loads, time pressure, narrow transport routes and awkward posturesThis leads to high loads on the musculoskeletal system, especially the back. Lifting and carrying heavy loads - especially those with insufficiently trained back muscles - increases the risk of suffering from musculoskeletal diseases. With this brochure, the German Accident Insurance from North-Rhine Westphalia would like to motivate workers in rescue services to train take care of their back and to prevent MSDs through exercises. You will find general information to back health, balanced nutrition and exercises.
